About Us

Who we are, where we come from, and where we're headed as a church family

Who we are

Here's the deal, The Neighbourhood Church cares about one thing more than anything else: Jesus Christ. The Neighbourhood Church is a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that same freedom. We are a part of a larger assembly called the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC). For more info on the PAOC, check them out here: https://paoc.org/family/what-we-believe

Where we come from

The Neighbourhood Church was planted in Saskatoon in 1982. Back then, it served the city of Saskatoon on 3rd and Louise through a bus & food ministry which eventually fed up to 250-300 children and parents a hot breakfast at the church. Shortly after 1986, the church joined the PAOC. Through different leadership and transition periods, the church moved from 3rd and Louise to a school in Silverwood Heights, to a school in Lawson Heights, until we eventually moved into our current building located at 233 Pinehouse Drive (previously a pool hall and restaurant) in Lawson Heights, Saskatoon.

Where we're headed

What's the bottom line? More than ever, The Neighbourhood Church is committed to fostering a family built around hope. Hope for the future. Hope for better. Hope for progress. Hope in Jesus. And as we move forward as a church family, inclusion, belonging, life transformation, and seeing the gospel go out into Saskatoon and beyond remain at the centre of who we are as followers of Christ.
