The Neighbourhood Church Early Learning Centre

The Neighbourhood Church Early Learning Centre

We are a Christian based daycare. We strive to minister to all aspects of a child’s growth and development; spiritual, physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and creative. Our goal as a centre is to provide a welcoming, nurturing and safe environment where children feel accepted and loved while reaching their fullest potential.

The Neighbourhood Church Early Learning Centre has been providing quality childcare to the community since August 2010. The majority of our families come to us from North Saskatoon, with some families coming from different areas of Saskatoon and the surrounding area. We provide childcare for ages 18 months to 5 years old.

We are located upstairs of The Neighbourhood Church located at 233 Pinehouse Drive. We welcome all families from the public community regardless of their religion.

Our fee for all ages is $217.50 per month.

The Neighbourhood Church Early Learning Centre has a Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) in which the Director and parents meet once per month to express their ideas and any concerns which they may have. The PAC has had continued success in helping plan fundraisers, events, and being a voice for their children who attend.

We also have continued support from our daycare board, which is made up of the Director, and church members. The children continue to enjoy developmentally appropriate activities every day which the staff take care and time to organize.

We try to spend much of our time outside enjoying our natural playground. If the weather agrees with us we love taking the children on excursions outside of the daycare such as walks around the neighbourhood and parks in our neighbourhood and to the Rusty McDonald library. Our summers are full of field trips, indoor and outdoor activities. We enjoy making the best of the winter months by going out sledging with the children for a special outing. If the weather outdoors is not agreeable, we play in the gymnasium. Indoors, we have all our learning centres ready for the child’s full benefit of play. We are always busy and enjoying our time at The Neighbourhood Church Early Learning Centre!

We celebrate holidays and birthdays with the children, including a special Christmas Concert every year with the children and their families. We find that it is important to connect with each and every family which gives us a better understanding each child.
